Please note: American puppy sales are no longer available 〰️

As of August 1, 2024, the Center for Disease Control in the USA has prohibited the purchase of puppies under the age of 6 months from Canada and all other foreign countries. They state that the “CDC strives to protect America’s families, communities, and pets by preventing the reintroduction of dog rabies into the United States. Preventing infected dogs from entering the United States is a public health priority. CDC recommends all dogs be vaccinated against dog rabies.”

New import requirements:

In addition to having a receipt for a CDC Dog Import Form:

  • Dogs must appear healthy upon arrival.

  • Dogs must be at least 6 months old at time of entry or return to the U.S.

  • Dogs must have a microchip that can be detected with a universal scanner to identify them.

Welcome To Daintree

Daintree Kennels is located just south of Nakusp, British Columbia (Canada) in the beautiful Kootenay Mountains. Our property spans 8 acres, located at the base of Scalping Knife Mountain along the shores of the Arrow Lakes. We’ve been in Nakusp since 2010.

The kennel is located in the West Kootenays. Daintree is home to a small herd of CKC registered Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. This kennel is not really an old-school “kennel” but a regular home filled with love and dedicated to the highest quality of life for our breeding dogs. The local mountains and waterways are our playgrounds; our dogs live with us indoors, have house privileges, a 1 acre fenced yard, a private 7 acre pasture and live as a part of the family. You will find all related information within the various sections of our website, and are welcome to join us on our social media accounts for current photos, videos and happenings. The site is also updated regularly.
