dogs Available At DAINTREE KENNELS
Last Updated December 19, 2024
Thank you for your interest in a Daintree Duck Toller. PLEASE NOTE: due to the recent changes to importing puppies from outside of the USA, we are not accepting applications from American families at this time.
Please read through this page and our other page of FAQs before considering a Toller puppy from Daintree. We are not the kennel for everyone and we know that.

We are currently looking for a home for an older puppy bred by another kennel. Otter (above) is a very affectionate, sweet, happy 10 month old male who is started on basic commands, leash walking, swimming, crate training, loves car rides and although skeptical at first, warms up to new people quickly. He is excellent with other dogs, in love with our cats but nervous around new people and small children. This could improve in time, he just needs a chance.
Our Methods
Puppies are only sold to approved homes. Daintree thoroughly screens each applicant.
Our puppies are raised in a quiet and loving home environment with exposure to as much of regular life "stuff" as we can manage. We feed a balanced diet of raw food and follow a limited vaccination schedule. Our goal is to produce beautiful, healthy, solid family dogs.
Families are invited to participate in an online group dedicated solely to their puppy's litter. The puppies are documented here with daily updates on progress, photos and videos.
Since July 2015, all Daintree puppies are raised with Jane Killion's Puppy Culture Program. This is a method of whelping and raising litters and has become a ‘game changer.’ Using exercises from the US Military’s Superdog biosensor program, mild and age-appropriate stressors and many of the other tools outlined in the video series helps Daintree to produce stable, enrichment seeking pups who are calmer and more confident than previous generations. When you know better, you do better.
DAINTREE PUPPIES are:

I paid more for a Daintree puppy because I believe people should be paid well for high quality services they provide. As a professional dog behavior consultant, I know how important a puppies' first several weeks of life are for their lifelong stability and wellbeing. If you've never had a litter of 10 puppies, it makes sense that you wouldn't have a clue of how much work goes into training each one of them every single day. Not to mention the raw feeding! If we don't pay breeders who do it right, we will only be left with breeders who do it wrong. I know several people who paid significantly more for their puppy mill and poorly bred puppies than I paid for my ethically bred and thoughtfully raised Daintree puppy. To me, these things were important enough to travel all the way from Texas to small town Canada for my pup.
