Splash was my first Nova Scotia Duck Toller who came to me when she was 6 years old. She was being retired from the breeding program at Tollwest and I had been inquiring about an adult dog right around that time. Lisa Porter let me come and borrow her for an afternoon and I was in love.
My friend and I took her for a walk and to Peter's Drive In where she got an ice cream cone of her own. She was the sweetest, most excited little dog ever, even though she was a lot smaller than I had imagined and had these runny eyes...
A week later she came to live with me and has been my best friend ever since. Because she was such a fabulous dog, I got very interested in having a second Toller. Enter Topaz 6 months later. I bought Splash's great-grandson Topaz in November of 2005 when he was 9 weeks old.
